The CR Feet First cruise wasnt horrible, but not great either. The run from Canberra to Braidwood was its usual bland self. We hit a little rain at the top of the Clyde, however the rest of the run to Narooma was dry and pleasant. We drank, chatted, and ate at O’Briens, however woke up on Sunday morning to rain.
By the time we got to Braidwood on the way back, we were soaked, cold, and tired. We had battled wind and rain the whole stretch and were exhausted. Not fun at all.
The 109 behaved itself for the most part, but it is clearly down on a heap of power. Just the other day Typhoon came around to check the throttle body balance. All fine, so the rough-running issue is someplace else. Ive run out of ideas myself, so it will just have to wait until money allows some professional help.
Luckily the Celica has been behaving itself (*touch wood*).
However it hasnt all been doom and gloom. For no real reason as to why, I decided to drag Goose out and give him a good bath. I went the whole hog this time. Full degrease of the engine (right down to a tooth-brush on the air fins!). Everything got a lick of either tyre shine or polish. He came up looking a million bucks!
So I figured ‘what the hell!’, went inside and dropped 3 months rego on him!. A bike that good looking shouldnt be trapped in the garage. He got a run to coffee on the following Monday, and due to the number of new people there – he was quite the conversation piece 🙂
Then on Wednesday night, Ado and I ventured into a Civic for a bit of a photo op. I’m really pleased how the pics turned out and Ado did a great job!!
