Phoenix – the saga continues
So on the advice of Typhoon, I ran some injector cleaner through the 109. The bottle said for the size of the tank, it wanted a 1/4 bottle of cleaner. Pfft – the whole bottle went ti 🙂
I then took it for a quick run (about 10 k’s) and parked it up for the night. The idea is for the injector cleaner to soak in the injectors overnight. In the morning I sparked the old girl up, and headed to work. It felt better, I think. However it then sat for the day. In the afternoon it was time to head to CR coffee, so I decided to give the beast a good flogging out to Fyshwick. This time I was sure it felt better. It revved smoother, and didnt bog down in the lower rev’s. Even idle feels better.
The ext day I decided to hook the Cobra Fi2000 back up, to see if I could make up for the lean-ness that would have been bought in by the new air filters. The Fi2000 has 3 dials. Its really basic, and certainly no good for proper tuning – but it will do until I get new pipes and the Power Commander hooked back up and tuned. It’s made a difference – but certainly needs more playing – but thats fine.
I’ve also started thinking about doing something different with the paint work. I like the black – but it needs something else. A bit of colour. I’m not 100% sure yet on which colour, but I think it will definitely get a LE-ish stripe down the middle. Tho I’m not sure if it will be the normal single stripe – or a more GT-ish twin stripe.
Anyways – here are some ideas – what ya thnk?
Purple (for Riicho)
And for the hell of it – Green on Green. A bit Kermie…
