Stage 2, part 2
The last few days have been a bit up and down regarding if the Postie engine was actually going to go in or not.
For the last few days I have been doing more research on the CT110 engine.
It would seem that I have been essentially chasing an extra 0.2hp and a poofteenth more torque.
Thats it.
Yes the CT110 engine does have the 4-speed gearbox, but all in all the gearing is actually pretty much the same according to Supa.
So, at this point, I was going to drop the Postie engine idea and just get the 16-tooth front sprocket for the Cub engine. And then look at exhaust/Carby options.
And just as Id given up, I got an email the next morning about a forward-facing manifold for the CT110 engine…
It it wasnt to all be plain sailing, Good news/Bad news:
Bad news:
Manifold arrived this morning. Fits the postie engine perfectly, however doesn’t leave enough clearance between it and the valve cover to actually fit a carby.
*sigh*
Good news:
Found a supplier in Aus that has 1.5″ manifold risers.
