If you’re getting shitty, down tools
After my work on the seat pan yesterday, I wondered outside in the evening and just wasn’t happy with it. Just way too wide.
So after a quick trip to Joes for a fuel tap and a spare front fender, I set to work on narrowing the seat pan.
It didn’t go well. The whole job was 2 steps forward and one step back.
I’m not going to post a photo of it as It’s a complete mess. Functional, but messy. Its more pop-rivets and patches than seat pan (mainly because no matter how far down I turned my welder, it still blew holes in the weak, old, thin seat pan metal).
My one achievement of the day was trimming the spare front fender, cafe racer style.
Pretty happy with it actually.
